Your Library Accounts


Self-Service Healey Library Account Access and Renewals:

You do not have to come to the Library to check your circulation record or renew books!

  1. Select My Account from the Healey Library Catalog to view Healey items or VIrtual catalog items charged out to you.
  2. Login using your barcode. Type the Library barcode number on the back of your ID card. Type your last name and click on Login.
     
  • Charged Items are materials you have borrowed. Click on the box of each item you wish to renew and then on Request Renewals. All items renewed will display the new due date and a new status - renewed.
  • "Requests" Pending will tell you the title and expiration date of your any requests you have made to have a checked-out book held for your use once it's returned.  This is often referred to as a "hold."  This option will also show your position in the queue for that item.  Note: "requests" here does not refer to InterLibrary Loan or Virtual Catalog Requests for materials, but onto to holds on Healey Library catalog items.
  • Items Available will tell you the title, expiration date and pickup location of items you requested which are now available.
  • Fines and Fees displays any information regarding fines and fees attached to your library record. If you have any fines, the title of the item, the fine attached to that item and the reason for the fine will be displayed.
  • Personal Information contains your name, address and phones numbers. If any corrections are needed, please contact the Circulation Desk.

Renewing Library Materials

You may renew library materials if:

  1. Nothing on your record is overdue and
  2. You do not have any fines on your record and
  3. You know your library barcode number.

Faculty, staff, and graduate students receive a 60 day renewal; undergraduates receive 30 days. The new due date is calculated from the renewal date, not added on to the original due date. Consult the Circulation Desk if you have any further questions.


You may not renew library materials under the following conditions:

  1. if your books are one (1) or more days overdue or you have $2 or more in fines on your record.
    • You must bring these books in to the Circulation Desk and pay the fines on them before you will be able to renew them.
       
  2. if another user has placed a hold on the book you want to renew.
    • You may keep the book until your original due date. Return the book by the original due date to avoid overdue fines.
       
  3. if you have already renewed the book four times
    • You will have to leave these books at the Circulation Desk to be reshelved in the stacks before you will be able to check them out again.
