The Dorchester Vertical File was created by University of Massachusetts at Boston librarians to gather together miscellaneous material about Dorchester.

Scope and Content

The file consists of publications, reports, pamphlets, photocopies of articles, bibliographies, unpublished studies, and photographs relating to the history of the Dorchester community. A collection of monographs on Dorchester history are cataloged and described separately in the library's on-line catalog.
