Copy / Print Cards

Copy / print cards are a convenient way to store money for later use when photocopying or printing. All photocopiers and printers accept these cards, and they are required for printing once you have exceeded your allotment of free pages each semester.

Getting a copy / print card and adding value

In the Library building, you may purchase a copy / print card at one of the dispensers on the UL or 4th floor. The 4th floor dispenser is located near the rest rooms; the UL dispenser is located inside the Red Computing Lab.

Obtain a card:

  1. Press the “Finish” button. Screen message changes from “Swipe card” to “Add $1 to buy card”.
  2. Insert a $1 bill into the machine.
  3. You will receive a copy card preloaded with 60 cents.
  4. Write down the 7-digit serial number of the card. This can recover the value of the card account, in case the card is lost.

Please note: If you insert a bill larger than $1 when purchasing a card, press the “Finish” button within 30 seconds after, to add the full value of the bill to your card account. Otherwise the account will have to be corrected at the Computing Lab Supervisors Office, room 40, UL.

Add value to your card:

  1. Swipe your card.
  2. Insert the amount of money you'd like to add to the card, in $1, $5, $10 or $20 bills, into the machine.
  3. When you are done adding value, press the “Finish” button.
