An online research management, writing and collaboration tool
With RefWorks you can create a database of resources for your research projects; write notes about the articles, books, websites you read; insert references into your paper; and create a formatted paper or bibliography using the style of your choice (APA, MLA, and many more) in seconds.
Getting Started
- To use RefWorks, you must set up your own RefWorks account.
- Go to the RefWorks Users Login page and sign up for an Individual Account.
- When you sign up for your account, you will receive a confirmation email message that includes UMass Boston's Group Code.
- The Group Code identifies that you are affiliated with UMass Boston. When accessing RefWorks from off-campus you may be asked for the UMass Boston Group Code before entering your personal login name and password.
- UMass Boston's Group Code
- You will need to enter your last name and barcode number to view the UMass Boston Group Code.
- Once you have your individual account, you can start building and using your own citations database.
