The University of Massachusetts at Boston was established in 1964 as the second campus of the University of Massachusetts system. The UMB Publications Collection contains print or near-print material issued by the university and its various departments, offices and institutes. This includes yearbooks, the student newspaper, course catalogs, and newsletters. The publications are organized by department or category.
Archives and Special Collections has a complete run of The Mass Media, the student run newspaper. The digital backfile of The Mass Media is available at this address: http://themassmedia.newspaperarchive.com/
Monographic publications by UMass Boston departments or institutes are cataloged individually in the on-line catalog and are available in the department.
UMB Archives Collection, 1964-
Although the Archives and Special Collections Department is not the official repository for the records of the University of Massachusetts Boston, the department has obtained a miscellaneous collection of archival records, photographs, and faculty papers relating to the history of the campus.
