Laurence Etter worked in the Social Service Department of the Boston State Hospital and served on the Dorchester Inter-Agency Council. He was a founding member and early chairperson of the Dorchester United Neighborhoods Association, and active in the Dorchester Mental Health Center Association, the Ashmont Neighborhood Association and other organizations.

This collection contains printed material, agenda, minutes, newsletters, memoranda, correspondence, reports, proposals, and other records from the organizations and committees in which LE was involved.
