Bellamy Family : Papers, 1865-1960
Papers, 1865-1960 (bulk, 1968-1988) Robert Bayard Bellamy (1879-1962) was a civil engineer and surveyor who held several positions with the Works Progress Administration during the 1930s Depression. RBB's father, William Bellamy (1846-1940), was a Boston shop-keeper and author who spent the last twenty years of his life in France. RBB's father-in-law, John Norris McClintock (1846-1940), was a civil engineer and inventor of a water and sewage filtration system. The collection primarily consists of the papers of Robert Bayard Bellamy, but includes papers and memorabilia that belonged to three generations of the Bellamy family of Dorchester. Included are personal and professional correspondence, business ledgers, surveyor's notebooks, maps, bills, receipts, household accounts, school notebooks, muniments, a diary, invitations and printed material.
